$10.00 to the address shown on the registration form.

Copy with NEW Levels and a copy of my next game FREE.

			       REQUIRMENTS TO RUN PIPES
			       ************************

PIPES will run on any 286,386,or 486 Computer with a VGA
Monitor and Card at 320 by 200 by 256 colors. You will
also need a 102 key keyboard, and a mouse is supported
but is not required. PIPES will run on most Super VGA
boards like the TSENG, TRIDENT, ATI, and PARADISE.
Normally PIPES will automatically determine the type of
board that you have, but if the Video breaks up and
doesn't scroll properly, then you will have to tell the
game which card you have by typing PIPES followed by
	    the chip set name.
		EXAMPLE : PIPES TRIDENT8900 (Return)

The following chip set names are valid :
		   1. TSENG3000
		   2. TSENG4000
		   3. ATI
		   4. TRIDENT8800
		   5. TRIDENT8900
		   6. PARADISE
		   7. STANDARD

NOTE : PIPES will run on Machines that are slower than
16 Mhz, but the Game Play is slowed down to a
crawl. The faster the Machine the better. The
game was tested on a 286-16,386DX-20,386DX-25,
		   486SX-30,Compaq Deskpro 386DX-20,IBM PS/2 models
		   40,50Z,80, and a Tandy 2000.

				   INSTALLING PIPES
				   ****************

Installing PIPES is very straight forward, just put the
distribution disk into your floppy drive, change to that
	    drive and type INSTALL.
The Install program will do the rest, including letting
you install from any drive A or B to any drive C,D,E etc.

				    PLAYING PIPES
				    *************

Once you have installed pipes onto your hard disk drive
using the INSTALL program, just change to the directory
that you installed pipes into a type PIPES.

The Startup screen will come up and then the instruction
screen will popup on top of Robbie the Robot.

F1 will display the General Help Screen.
F2 displays your Status ie. health, time, gold, etc.
F3 turns the music on or off.
F4 turns the sound on and off.
F5 saves the current game to disk.
F6 restores a saved game from disk.
F7 not used in this game.
F8 turns on and off the joystick, it is off normally.
F9 calibrates your joystick (use before F8).

NOTE: The F3 Music function, only works with a
sound card installed into your computer,
such as the Sound Blaster (TM) and has
no effect on machines that do not have
a sound card installed in them.

				 PLAYING A GAME CONT.
				 ********************

Once you push start game from the popup menu, you will be
started at level 1 with 50 Bombs, 200 Phaser rounds, and
your health level will be at 150. From there you will
receive 1 point for every block of spilt water you clean
up (you will notice the floor change shape.) This will
also help you to determine where you have and have not
been yet. Food will award you health points. Gold will
also be found in the maze and will award you points also.
To check your gold, health, time, etc. use the F2 key
as described above. Help is always available by pressing
the F1 key. Once the Game is in progress you can Quit at
any time by pressing the ESC key, which will take you back
	    to the Main Menu.
Once you reach the Gold Room, which will be filled with a
large amount of gold Bars you will find a gray square door
on the bottom right, this is your entrance into Level 2.
You then must fight your way thru this level to the secret
	    room of the Water Monster.
Find the Water Monster and Kill him and you win the Game.
I won't go into a lot of detail as part of the fun of
playing the Game is finding the little secrets out yourself.

HINT: The bombs can be used to stop the leaks and will open
up a way into other parts of the maze.

Some items can be picked up and will be added to your inventory,
which you can check by pressing the 'd' key for drop. If you run
over an item and it doesn't disappear then push 'p' for pickup
item while you are on top of it. The 'd' drop and 'p'
pickup keys will display your inventory and allow you to drop
an item by highlighting it and pushing return or you can press
the ESC key to return to the Game. If you pickup bombs then
they will be added to the amount of bombs you already have and
can be used later. To use a bomb press the 'b' key or joystick
button 2, the bomb will move in the direction you were moving
before you pressed 'b' or stopped your man.

				 PLAYING A GAME CONT.
				 ********************

The Game starts you off with 200 Phaser shots, so use them
carefully, don't shoot needlessly, and somewhere in the two
	    mazes there are extra Phasers.

If you get hit by certain beams and monsters, you will be
stunned for a short time and will loose hit points, which
you can replenish by eating. When your hit points reaches
the 0 level, you will loose a man and start from the
beginning unless you saved the game first with the F5 key.
In this case when you loose a man and the game puts you
at the beginning you can press the F6 key to restore
where you left off, but you will still be one man shorter.

You will start the game with 20 men and the game will
start over if you loose all twenty.
