LABEL MAKER
VERSION 2.0

Fixed in this Version:

Device Not Ready Error - should not occur. This was caused on systems that didn't have a "d:" drive. The program tried to read the file list from that drive at start-up.

You can now select which drive is your 3.5" drive; either "a:" or "b:".

You can Now select subdirectories on the floppy and files within the subdirectory.

My reasons for creating this program:
I looked high and low for a label program that would label my 3.5 inch discs the way I wanted them. I tried every program I could find on AOL, some very nice programs, but they wouldn't do what I wanted. I purchased Labels! & Labels Unlimited, again some very nice programs but would not do what I wanted. I finally decided to write my own program. I dug out the Visual Basic program and created this program.

I wanted a program that would allow me to read the files that are on a disc, select which ones I would print on the label; allow me to control the name of the disc & most important be able to print through windows on a Deskjet or Laser printer to the standard sheet type labels, i.e. Avery 5196 & Z-Label 5195. The program should be able to pick which label location it will start printing on, and allow printing of a single label if necessary.

Although it wasn't important that the program be able to select different fonts for the Disk Title, I included it since it was relatively simple.

I have uploaded the program to AOL to allow others to use the program and to solicit comments. I have not placed any restrictions on the use of the program, I only ask if you like the program let me know, If you don't like it, let me know what you would like changed and I will look at making the change.

Send your comments via E-Mail on AOL to DennisW33.

I greatly appreciate your comments todate. They are the reason I made the changes.
