                          Gravis UltraSound
                          =================

Catch the wave with the Gravis UltraSound
              -----------------------------------------

Do you wish you had a full orchestra at your fingertips? Do you crave
flexibility in your recording and sound capabilities? Then rush out and
plug yourself into the future of sound technology with the Gravis
UltraSound, a 16-bit, CD quality, wavetable synthesis sound card
available for IBM PC* and compatible personal computers.

The Gravis UltraSound offers these unique and distinctive features:

 * 32 Voice Wavetable Synthesis: Hear the difference! Unlike FM
synthesis which creates, in essence, artificial sounds, the
Gravis UltraSound samples recordings of real instruments and
sound effects (also called patches) for the ultimate in sound
reproduction. The Gravis UltraSound also supports up to 32 digital
and/or synthesized voices for richer sound effects and quality.
The resulting reproduction is more natural and realistic.

 * CD Quality Sound: The Gravis UltraSound delivers true CD quality
sound by producing distortion free 16 bit, 44.1 kHz music and
    sound effects.

 * Instrument Patches: Other products store their patches in ROM
(read only memory). The Gravis UltraSound ships with a RAM (random
access memory) based General MIDI patch set of 192 instruments.
Realizing that ROM based products impose limitations on the
consumer, the Gravis UltraSound was designed to allow
flexibility. You can edit or replace existing instrument patches
or you can create a cornucopia of new patches limited only to the
    boundaries of your imagination!

 * 3-D Holographic Sound: The Gravis UltraSound also possesses the
capability of producing virtual audio environments. UltraSound
Holographic 3-D immerses you in an electronic dimension, and right
in the middle of the action.

 * Multimedia : The Gravis UltraSound is MPC compliant and supports
Windows, MIDI, WAV and AVI files.

 * Game Compatibility: A wide variety of games are currently
available (and many more in development) that take advantage of
UltraSound's superior capabilities. For most older games, the
Gravis UltraSound is compatible with older technologies like
    Sound Blaster and Ad Lib.

 * Gaming Environment: Play on! UltraSound's joystick port supports
any speed PC, and provides precise CPU speed compensation without
affecting the performance of games and simulations.

In addition to the General MIDI patch set, the Gravis UltraSound ships
with the following software:

 * Midisoft * Recording Session: A Windows music composition and
    recording program.

 * Power Chords*: Learn music with a guitar in this music program
    for Windows.

 * UltraSound Studio 8: A fun way to edit your sound files!
Experimentation with merging, dubbing and fading allowed!

 *  And much more!

The Gravis UltraSound is covered by our 1 Year No-Nonsense Warranty.
With its superior technology and low suggested retail price, can you
afford to be left behind?
