Thanks to the Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society, Northern Ohio DX
Association, Ohio/Penn PacketCluster Network, DF4RD, DL7VEE & DXNL,
CT1XK, JI1NJC, OH1NOA, ON5NT, AD1C, W100, NA2M, K8JP, N8AC, WD8NSD and
W8ILH for the following DX information.

3W, VIETNAM. 9V1ZJ was overheard stating that he was traveling to
Hanoi and that he was going to try to operate during his time there.

3Y, PETER I ISLAND (UPDATE). Luis, XE1L, one of the operators scheduled
to be part of the Peter I Island DXpedition, reported today (Nov. 6)
that the call sign the DXpedition was assigned will be 3Y0PI. They plan
to be QRV on or about February 1, 1994. It is reported that K0IR has all
permits in hand. WA4JQS and ON6TT have all the equipment cared for. Some
of the equipment has already been loaded on the ship. Other operators
include KK6EK and N4GCK. IT WAS REPORTED: If you work them 3 times on
same band/mode, all QSOs on that band/mode will be deleted. IT WAS ALSO
REPORTED: When the operators call for QSOs by the numbers, only those
stations with calls having the same number in their call sign are
permitted to call (no portable call sign numbers). QSL CW/RTTY contacts
to AA6BB; SSB contacts to KA6V.

9G, GHANA. John, G6LJU, will be active for the next three weeks as
9G1JI. He will be using a crystal-controlled radio and will only be
active on 15 and 20 meters (21269 kHz was mentioned, but none for 20
meters). Look for John between 1700-1830z. QSL via G6LJU.

KC6, REPUBLIC OF BELAU. A group of Japanese operators will be active
from November 19-23, with different KC6 call signs (which is unknown at
this time). They want to have three stations operational with amplifiers
and beams, using 160-6 meters on CW/SSB RTTY. QSL via JK1QHK.

KH4, MIDWAY ISLANDS. Scott, N7TNL, is now active as KH4/N7TNL and should
be there until January 6th. It was reported that the existing antennas
on the island were unknown, but the feeling was that there should be a
tribander of some type there (but it may not be functional). Scott traveled
to the island with a TS-430, along with a few accessories, but a stateside
group will be sending him some more equipment. Scott is with the U.S.
Fish & Wildlife Service and hopes to be active as much as possible. He
was heard this past weekend on 18096 kHz around 1755z. QSL via W1OO.

OH0M, ALAND ISLANDS. Timo, OH1NOA, informed OPDX that due to technical
problems with the helicopter, the OJ0/OH0M was unfortunately not able
to activate Market Reef during the CQ WW SSB Contest. In the contest,
the call sign OH0M was used from Aland Island. If you had any contacts
with an OJ0M during the contest, these contacts were the work of a
pirate. QSL OH0M via OH1NOA, Timo Klimoff, Metsakulmanraitti 292,
FIN.28760 PORI, Finland. QSL OH0/OH1XT and OH1NOA/OH0 via CBA.

S79, SEYCHELLES. Jean-Pierre, F6ITD, will be active as S79TD, from
November 14-25. He plans to be active on all bands using beams and
dipoles.

ST. SIMONS ISLAND (GEORGIA). John, W8ILH, will traveling to this stateside
coastal island to be active from November 8th thru December 6th. John did
not supply the IOTA number (we think it is NA-058) or the callsign he will
be using, but he will be active on 80-10 meters (SSB only) with a
possibility of some WARC activity. QSL via W8ILH.

V63, MICRONESIA. Mike, G4IUF, will be traveling to V63-land after he
finishes up his N6SVL/KH2 operation on November 10th from Guam. He plans
to be active from Kosrae Island as V63UF from November 10-17. He will
operate on CW/SSB and prefers to be active on the WARC bands and the
lower bands. Mike plans to be active from the Marshall Islands as
V73UF, from November 22-28.

VK9X, CHRISTMAS ISLAND AND VK9MM CARDS. Bill, VK4CRR, will be active
from here as VK9XO together with Bob, W5KNE (signing VK9XN), from
December 1-11. Bill also mentioned that the cards for the VK9MM
operation will be mailed out in the first part of January, not early
December as first announced.

VP9, BERMUDA. Leo, K8PYD, and Jon, WB8YJF, will be signing /VP9 from
November 23rd to December 1st. Both plan to be active on all bands CW/SSB
and each plan to operate individually in CQ WW CW Contest.

The Frankford Radio Club will also be active during the CQ WW CW
Contest as a multi-single operation from the VP9AD station.

VU4, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS. (From the DXNL) Two DXpeditions were
supposed to take place from here. Both were going to be funded by the
government of India, but due to the earthquakes, the government funding
was reallocated to help the victims of the earthquake. Therefore, both
DXpeditions are to be rescheduled at a later date.

ZK1, SOUTH COOK ISLAND. Three Japanese operators will be active from
November 19th to 25th. No callsigns were mentioned, but activity will
be on 160-10 meters CW, SSB and RTTY. The QSL Manager will be JI1NJC,
Yasunori Iitsuka, P.O. Box 3, Naka Ibaraki 311-01, Japan.
