Question:
Can Quicken Tax Estimator 2 read Quicken Tax Estimator 1 data?

Answer:
No. Tax tables are different from year to year.

Question:
While trying to import information from Quicken 3.0 for Windows,
I get a message that says there is no data to import.

Possible Cause:
In Quicken 3.0 for Windows, the customer may have changed the
date format from MM/DD/YY to DD/MM/YY.

Answer:
Change the date format from DD/MM/YY to MM/DD/YY in Quicken by going
into General Preferences.

Question:
When importing data from QW3 into Quicken Tax Estimator 2, some
items read '<not imported, no corresponding item>'. Why?

Possible Cause:
Tax schedule forms are not being recognized.

Answer:
No workaround. QTE does not handle these tax items: 'Form 2106
- Education' 'Schedule A - Other Taxes' and all 'Schedule E'.

Symptom:
If I edit a field after importing data and hit the enter key
instead of the Tab key, Tax Estimator tries to reimport my data.

Possible Cause:
The ICON for importing data is still highlighted.

Answer:
The program is designed to execute the highlighted command upon
hitting the enter key just like in Windows. Therefore, after
editing a field use the Tab key to move to the next field.

Question:
A person with 2 jobs has excess Social Security withheld. The
amount should be included in Federal Tax Payments but it is not
included.

Possible Cause:
Tax Estimator is not programmed to handle this.

Work Around:
The workaround is to manually enter excess Social Security
withheld into the Estimated Tax Paid to Date Field.
