Adding A New Hard Drive.

You can add additional hard disk drives to your Stacker equipped
system at any time by following the hard drive manufacturer's
instructions for installation. Most hard disk drives are recognized
by DOS automatically. DOS assigns drive letters at system startup as
needed. Therefore, the drive letter of your Stacker drive is moved
down the alphabet by one letter for each hard drive/partition that is
   added.

Some hard disk drives require that a device driver statement be added
to the CONFIG.SYS file. Changes in drive letter assignments depend on
whether the hard disk driver is loaded before or after the STACKER.COM
device driver in your CONFIG.SYS file. If you want to create Stacker
drives on a disk drive which requires a device driver, place the hard
disk device driver before the Stacker device driver statement in the
   CONFIG.SYS file.

Installing New Software.

Install new software on your Stacker drive just as you would on a
"normal" DOS drive. Stacker 3.0 will automatically locate and load
any new device drivers added to the CONFIG.SYS.

Editing the AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS Files.

At times, the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files will need to be
edited. When you "Stack an Existing Disk with its Data" on the boot
disk, drive C, copies of both files are made on both the Stacker drive
C:, and the uncompressed drive D:. When editing these files, edit
them on drive C: (the Stacker drive) as you normally would. When the
system is restarted, Stacker offers to copy the changed versions of
the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS to the uncompressed boot drive.
Please allow Stacker to make these changes. If Stacker does not make
these changes automatically, your system may not be configured
   correctly.
