    WORLD LIBRARY, INC. has announced its most comprehensive collection
    of literature on CD-ROM. The $395 disc comes in a joint Windows and
    DOS format, with extensive search features for each format. Library
    of the Future, Third Edition, will add nearly 1,500 new titles,
    including fables and stories by the Brothers Grimm, and works by
    Jane Austen, Willa Cather, Joseph Conrad, Fydor Dostoevsky, Rudyard
    Kipling and Alfred Lord Tennyson. The entire text of three popular
    John Steinbeck novels (Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men and The
    Pearl) will also be included. The collection will also integrate
    video clips for the first time. More than 20 minutes of video will
    be contained in the title, including scenes from Sherlock Holmes and
    Aladdin.

    ARIS ENTERTAINMENT has announced its thirteenth MediaClips
    multimedia clip art title, a colorful compilation of wild animal
    images, sounds and videos entitled Animal Kingdom. This title marks
    the first time Aris has combined MPEG, MPC and Macintosh-compatible
    formats on a single CD-ROM disc. Retailing for $39.95, Animal
    Kingdom features 100 color photographic images of creatures large
    and small, from the Sahara to the Savannas to the Serengetti plain,
    along with 100 audio clips of original New Age music and 25
    live-action videos. In addition, the entire Aris library of
    multimedia clip art products will be converted to MPEG at each of
    their respective next printings. All titles will remain compatible
    with Video for Windows and Macintosh QuickTime for customers who
    have not purchased an add-on MPEG board.

    INFOBUSINESS,INC. announced it will come out with two career
    guidance CD-ROM discs for personal and professional use. Both are
    MPC-compliant/Windows titles. Job-Power Source ($59.95) is aimed at
    individual job seekers and those interested in changing careers.
    Job-Power Source Professional ($149.95) contains additional
    information for use by college career planning and placement
    offices, high school guidance counselors, employment counselors and
    other job professionals. Both discs contain the full text of 11
    best-selling career books. Also announced was a Windows/MPC
    compliant CD-ROm version of Information USA. The new title is packed
    with more than 400MB of information, including the entire Federal
    Domestic Assistance  Catalog database. The multimedia Windows
    version adds a sleek new MS  Windows environment that enables users
    to open multiple windows, highlight sections of text, set bookmarks
    and even record's ones notes that can be searched on later. In
    addition, more than two hours of video clips are featured. The
    CD-ROM carries a SRP of $69.95.

    PC DYNAMICS INC. announced Dinosaur Desktops for Windows with a SRP
    of $12.95. It is a collection of Mesozoic wallpapers and digital
    roaring, growling and chewing. There are 16-and-256 color
    wallpapers, and almost one megabyte of sounds. The program installs
    as an applet in the Windows Control Panel, from which users may
    select any dinosaur wallpaper, as well as the default wallpapers
    that come standard with Windows.

    SIERRA ON-LINE, INC. announced the release of Police Quest: Open
    Season. Most backgrounds were photographed on location in Los
    Angeles, giving players actual inside and outside views of Parker
    Center (police headquarters), City Hall, the morgue, the Los Angeles
    Police Academy, and South Central Los Angeles. Interactive actors
    were filmed at Sierra's studio, and overlaid into the backgrounds.
    Darryl Gates, former L.A.'s Chief of Police, worked closely with
    Sierra's producer/director Tammy Dargan on this game, and he also
    makes a cameo appearance. The game is shipping now with a SRP of
    $69.95. It is shipping on twelve 3.5" high density disks.

    EMERALD SYSTEMS began shipping Version 4.0 of EmSAVE, the company's
    basic backup and restore software  for NetWare and Windows for
    Workgroups networks. New features are full support for NetWare 4.x,
    enhanced support for Windows for Workgroups, the addition of a
    powerful externally activated scheduler, and compatibility with
    Adaptec controller cards, in addition to Emerald Systems;
    controllers, allowing the software to work with a wide range of tape

    ROUND LAKE PUBLISHING CO., INC. announced release of two product
    lines: LetterWorks and ReadyWorks. These are a total of nearly 1,700
    business, legal, personal, personnel, professional and sales
    documents that are easily edited and customized, helping users at a
    loss for words to find the right way to say what they want when they
    need to say it. All six products share a new interface, ViewWorks
    designed by Round Lake to make selecting the right document and
    customizing it quick and way, even for the novice Windows user. The
    new products are available for Windows, but the company also makes

    CENTRAL POINT SOFTWARE INC. announced it has expanded its  support
    service offerings for its PC desktop products to meet the
    specialized needs of its growing customer base. In addition to
    continuing to provide a variety of complimentary services, Central
    Point will offer several fee-based support plan options for those
    customers requiring a higher level of technical assistance.
    Effective Jan. 1, 1994, they will offer four phone support plans.
    There is free 30-day complimentary phone support for 30 days after
    you initial call. The other plans range from a flat rate $25 per
    call to yearly plans of $129 and $499 per year for unlimited calls.
    In addition there are three plans for corporate clients receiving 24
    engineer support 7 days a week.

    MICROSOFT CORP., unveiled MS Money 3.0 for Windows. Money 3.0 ushers
    in a significant era for personal finance software with the
    introduction of the integrated Bank On-Line service, which enables
    users to conduct their banking from their home PCs. Version 3.0 also
    offers a variety of new features, including Financial Planning
    Wizards as well as investment tracking and management capabilities.
    In addition, MS Money 3.0 adds two other helpful services, Pay
    On-Line, enabling people to pay their bills electronically, and
    Quotes On-Line, allowing users to update stock and mutual fund
    portfolios. The product will be available in Feb. 1994, and offered
    for an introductory price on $34.95 until April 15, 1994. Thereafter
    the price will rise to $69.95.
