I need to abandon my old way of capturing data in favor of a new one.

It's time for a change and Sysops need to display more info about their systems.

Plus the current program hasn't been updated in a while and the baud rate and
BBS s/w fields are no longer current.

But I don't have the time to do the programming.

Do you?

If so read on.

The ideal solution is a Windows program I would launch whenever I was online
that will allow me to add records or update information.

The ideal solution contains the same fields as the current one,
allows a longer name, and allows about 8 lines of explanation of what the BBS is
about compared to the current 1 line.

The ideal solution allows a unique location to be stored for each bbs rather
than using the current table driven mechanism.

The ideal solution allows for one time import of the current data from a single
comma delimited file without rekeying.

The ideal solution allows the modem brand on the public line to be specified
as well as the slowest and fastest speeds supported.

The ideal solution allows the number of nodes to be a data field separate
from the comments.

The ideal solution allows the export of a list of all phone numbers into
a flat file for verification purposes.

The ideal solution allows a batch "date verified" update based on the
input of a list of verified phone numbers and today's date.

The ideal solution stores data into an industry standard format.

The ideal solution provides a option that takes the data from the data
base and creates a text bbs list for use on a bbs as a bulletin of all
boards verified within the last 30 days and would place all not so
recently verified into a list of down boards.

The ideal solution is written in something I can afford and maintain
after the initial progrmming effort.

If you are interested...give a shout sometime between 8 and 10 in the
evening...to me at 703-620-2776

You can get name recognition...but not much else...out of the effort.
