                               Feature List

TeleBack is a complete software system to run your Remote Backup Service. It
was written specifically for this task, and is completely automated. TeleBack
will run your service unattended, without any intervention from you or your
client. Manual operation is also an option.

TeleBack comes as two programs - a Host program, which you run on your computer,
and a Client program, which you may copy as many times as you need to support
all your clients. Here are just some of it's features:

1. Arrives as two stand-alone programs. TBHost and TBClient.

2. Easy setup (no batch files, scripts or other programs to configure). You
can be up an running within 10 minutes.

3. An easy Installation program is provided that will install TBHost and
    TBClient.

4. Only one phone line is required, but TeleBack will support more.

5. TBClient is installed on you client's computer. TBClient features include:

     * Can be run as a Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) program. In this
mode, if a client is doing word processing, TBClient will 'wake-up',
inform the user of what is about to take place and then return him to
where he was when the backup is complete.

     * Can be set up to perform backups automatically for any day of the week
and at any time during the day without client intervention. This is
totally flexible. You may also define whether it should perform a Full
        or an Incremental backup.

     * Your client may perform a manual backup as well and choose between Full
        and Incremental.

     * Manual backups can be performed while the client is still within another
        application.

     * Allows you to perform other services (which you can charge for) like
disk compression, virus checking, network maintenance, file management,
and more via batch files. A totally unique and separate batch file may
be run before and/or after each backup session for every day of the
week. Meaning you can have up to 14 different batch files, each
        performing a different task!

     * Include or Exclude a list of files, drives or subdirectories.

     * The backup file is compressed and encrypted with a password prior to
transmission and may be known only by your client (for security & legal
       reasons!).

     * The backup file integrity is verified before being sent.

     * Detects all hard drives attached to the system (including those on a
network if they are available to the workstation).

     * The client may define a maximum upload size (in BYTES) in case employees
load 'unauthorized' software onto the system that would get included in
the backup. This eliminates costly uploads.

     * Backup file names are date- and time-coded to allow your client to
perform multiple backup sessions during the day without the possibility
of overwriting a previous backup file.

     *  Communication ports 1 - 4 are supported

     * The modem is automatically searched for and tested before each
        transmission.

     * Serial port speeds from 300 - 115,200 are supported.

     * An 'Exceptions List' is transmitted to the Service Provider with every
backup so he may see if any error had occurred.

     * If the backup is terminated because of errors during the backup process,
an 'Exceptions List' will be transmitted to the service provider.

     * Zmodem file transfers are used for maximum performance and reliability.

     * TeleBack will resume a file transfer if a power loss happens or, noisy
phone lines cause too many errors.

     * An Activity Log is available that shows the client Time Sent, Bytes
Sent, Error Msg, Transfer Success and Date Sent.

     * The Activity Log may be viewed, printed as a whole or, you can enter
Start and End dates and view or print only those activities. Deleting
the log is also an option.

     * The Client's computer can be turned off at night and TBHost will call
the client's computer to 'wake' it up to perform it's backup. When the
backup and file transfer is complete, the client's computer will be
turned off again. This is accomplished with a device called 'The
TelePower' (available from WEB Software & Consulting, Inc.).

     * The Service Provider may display his company information on the main
screen of the Client software by generating a simple text file.

     * Runs under DOS, Windows, DesqView and OS/2.

     * Command line switches alter program operation.

     * Help screen is available by pressing F1 so you don't need to carry the
        manual with you.

6. TBClient v1.5x System Requirements:

     * IBM or compatible PC (386SX20 or better is recommended)
     *  MS-DOS 3.2 or greater
     *  PKZip v204g
     * 1K of EMS memory version 3.2 or greater and 256K XMS memory version 2.0 or
        greater is recommended.
     * One hard drive with enough space available to contain the backup file. This will
vary depending upon the files that you backup.
     * One 3.5 inch floppy drive for installing the TeleBack software.
     * One modem capable of v.42/v.42bis. 14.4K Baud is recommended.

7. TBHost is install on your computer. TBHost's features include:

     * Maintains a copy of the client's backup schedule and setup information.

     * Change your client's setup from your computer automatically. No need to
travel to your client's site if changes are needed.

     * Two methods of operation: (working at the same time)

          1. WAIT FOR CALLS: In this mode, TBHost just sits waiting for your
client's computers to call with a backup file.

          2. WAIT FOR CALLS and WAKE-UP TBCLIENTS: In this mode, TBHost
will call your clients that have their computers turned off for the
night and are using the TelePower module. TBHost call the client's
computer and then hangs up to wait for that client to call with it's
          backup set.

     * Received backups may be stored in separate subdirectories for easy
        maintenance.

     * Automatic detection and testing of modem when TBHost is started.

     * A minimum Character Per Second (CPS) rate can be defined. This means
that if the phone connection starts to degrade and falls below a certain
level (say 800 cps), the file transfer will be terminated, the
connection reestablished and the file transfer will resume with no loss
        of data.

     * Allows you to add, edit, delete and print client records.

     * Allows you to define different billing rates: per minute, per month, per
megabyte and flat rate for use with our TB-Invoice program (available
        separately).

     * Maintains an 'Activity Log' for your use in billing. Each entry has
it's own Log Number for easy reference.

     * The 'Exceptions List' that was uploaded by the client's computer can be
viewed daily to see if any errors occurred during the backup.

     * Option to take phone off-hook while you are using your computer for
        other things.

     *  Communication ports 1 - 4 are supported (Multi-user version also
        available).

     * Serial port speeds from 300 - 115,200 are supported.
