                                INTRODUCTION

Have you ever dreamed about having your own business? Have you
ever wished you could work out of your home?

Millions of people are doing just that and more and more are
joining this wonderful life style daily.

But, it takes a lot more than just the dream. In order to be among
those millions of successful work-at-home people you must have
determination, patience, self discipline, a positive attitude, a
service or product to offer, and, if a product, sources for high
quality product that allows a large margin of profit.

There are many benefits to owning and operating your own home
business. The most obvious one is low overhead. Overhead is a cost
of business that consumes revenue but does not in itself generate
revenue. This includes rent, utilities, phone, insurance, etc.
That you are already paying. You will also have to plan for office
furniture and equipment, licenses (if required), association
membership, printing (such as stationery, business cards, business
    forms, etc.), a computer, etc.

Other benefits are being able to set your own schedule, work with
your family, and most important knowing that you have the ability
to control your destiny. You don't have someone else telling you
    what you are worth.

There are also downsides to any businesses. You must learn how to
manage your money. Just because you earn $15,000 this month
doesn't mean you can go out and spend $14,000. Next month you may
only earn $2,000. You have to change your thinking about living
from payday-to-payday to the realization that there won't be
another payday. Initially you take only as much as you absolutely
must have out of the company and retain the rest for working
capital and for those "rainy days" or slow months. In my 35 years
as a small businessperson I have earned as little as $23 in one
month and as much as $127,000 a couple of months later.

As an entrepreneur you must realize that time is money and you
must be able to organize your time. Your success or failure will
depend upon how well you organize that time.

This "Blueprint for Profits" gives you the initial information you
need to get into one or possibly two work-at-home businesses that
have been proven successful over and over again for many years -
advertising specialties and brokering of printing and business
forms. Literally thousands of entrepreneurs are making huge
incomes in this area. The vast majority of them started with
little knowledge about the business and little, if any, working
capital. In my particular case, I started with less than $100 in
1959. I'm not rich, but I make a very comfortable living and am
satisfied with what I am earning at this point in life.

It is not necessary to register this electronic or send any money
to me for it. If you feel that this is an area you would like to
get into either as a new business or something to add to an
existing business, I have developed what is considered by printers
and brokers around the country as the premier source databases.
You will find more about these databases in another chapter.
