INTENDED USER:

    Sysops of Wildcat bulletin board systems.                                                        


SHORT DESCRIPTION:

    WildNews is to be run as an event from a Wildcat bulletin board system.
    Each time it is run, it select the next in a sequence of paragraphs
    from a source file and merges it between an intro and a postlog, making
    a new file which can then be displayed as a Bulletin, Newsletter,
    Hello, etc. 

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE:
    Adds interest to bbs. Allows a daily changing news display or serialized
    story to be presented without operator intervention.
    
REQUIREMENTS:

    Wildnews requires an IBM XT- or AT-compatible computer with DOS 3.1 or
    later. It will run by itself, but is intended to be run from a batch
    file as a Wildcat event. 
    
IS A MANUAL INCLUDED?
    Yes. The manual, WildNews.doc is a brief description and instructions
    for installation and use.  It includes several command line switches.

SUPPORT:

    Wildnews is supported via the BBS of origin, Kaua'i Health Net.
    (808)-822-1889. The author can be reached via RIMENET in the 
    Wildcat Sysops conference.

HOW TO START THE PROGRAM:
    Place Wildnews.exe and the supporting files in the same directory.
    Run Wildnews from a batch file called as a Wildcat event. This will
    provide a demo which displays a descriptive listing of a new RIME
    conference as a newsletter each time the program is involked. Edit
    the text files to customize.
    
REGISTRATION:
    Wildnews is distributed as shareware, with a registration fee of $10.
    All users receive technical support via Kaua'i Health Net. Registered
    users get the same, with a big smile.

SUGGESTED CATALOG TEXT:

    For Wildcat Sysops, Wildnews will add interest to your board by 
    providing something brief and interesting every day, or as often
    as you care to schedule this event.  Useful for cycling through a list
    of advertisements, paragraphs of a continuing story, conference
    description list, jokes......
       The author of Wildnews provides support through RIMENET's Wildcat
