2) Minimum Hardware/Software Requirements
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hardware:
1. At least 4MB RAM
2. 486-25 Mhz or greater
3. 640x480, 256 color or better Video Display
4. Optional: Sound Card or PC Speaker Driver

Software:
1. Windows 3.1x running in Enhanced mode.
2. VBRUN300.DLL
3. Video for Windows Version 1.1 (VFW) runtime (for AVI playback)
4. Optional: Sound Card or PC speaker driver

All of these files can be found on most BBS forums.

To find VBRUN300.DLL:
If VBRUN300.DLL is not included, browse/search your favorite BBS for VBRUN3.ZIP
or VBRUN300.ZIP.

To find Video for Windows Runtime:
Browse/search your favorite BBS for VFWRUN.ZIP or VFW11A.ZIP.

Optionally: If you have a sound card you already have the MCI drivers for WAV
playback. (These come with your sound card) If you don't have a sound card
you can download a PC Speaker WAV driver for Windows from your favorite BBS.

To find a PC Speaker Driver:
Browse/search your favorite BBS for SPEAK.EXE or SPEAKR.ZIP

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) Video for Windows (VFW) Performance Problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are experiencing a loss of quality in your video playback you might
want to try one or both of the following possible fixes:

1. If your computer has only 4 Megabytes of memory, we strongly suggest
you install an additional 4 Megabytes (or more) of memory. Almost any
amount of additional memory will significantly increase the performance
of all applications on your system.

2. If you experience a loss of quality in playing AVI's from a CD-ROM,
try increasing the amount of buffer memory that your CD-ROM driver uses.
Computers communicate with the CD-ROM drive through the Microsoft MSCDEX
driver. Try adding /M:32 to the MSCDEX entry in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
See your CD-ROM documentation for more information.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) Video Display Problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. If you are having problems playing a FLC or FLI animation file, try
installing the standard Windows VGA driver. If animations play correctly,
you will need to get updated drivers for your video card. Contact your
video card manufacturer for more information. You may also be able to get
updated drivers from a CompuServe forum managed by your video card
manufacturer or from the Microsoft forum.

2. Some RLE compressed AVI's will not play correctly unless they are played
   at full size.

3. ATI video boards
CyberManager has experienced incompatibility problems with some features
of the ATI video system. This video board comes with a number of popular
systems including most Gateway 2000 machines. The problem is not with
the video board itself but with the video driver software. Try any or
all of the following suggestions to remedy the problem.

 A) Run the ATI Control Panel application that comes with your video card.
       a) Ensure that you are running in the 256 color mode.
       b) Click Advanced Features and ensure that the 256 Color Palette
option is turned ON. See the ATI documentation for more
          information.

 B) From the Windows Setup application, choose a different video driver
    such as the 8514/a driver.

 C) Versions of ATI's video accelerators prior to 2.1 do not work well with
Video for Windows version 1.1. Installing the accelerator software after
installing Video for Windows can overwrite Video for Windows version 1.1
components with components from the previous version.
Avoid installing any version of the video accelerator unless it is
specifically noted to be compatible with Video for Windows version 1.1.

The vidc.rlec=ativdacc.drv entry in the [installable compressors] section
of the SYSTEM.INI file can cause problems when playing large RLE-compressed
movies. Remove this entry from the SYSTEM.INI file.

For updated drivers, contact ATI Technologies Inc.

5) Audio Problems and WAV File Messages
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We strongly recommend the use of an MPC-compatible sound card in order to
play sounds and music. You may also use a speaker driver however, a speaker
driver will not play MID or RMI music files. You can download a PC speaker
driver for Windows from your favorite BBS.

To find a PC Speaker Driver:
Browse/search your favorite BBS for SPEAK.EXE or SPEAKR.ZIP and follow the
installation instructions

If you don't hear any sound:

1. Make sure your sound card's software volume controls are set to an
   audible level.

2. Make sure that the volume for your speakers is set to an audible level.

3. Make sure that CyberManager's on-screen volume control is set to an
audible level (about half way up on the slider).

4. If you still don't hear any sound, your sound card may be set up
incorrectly. Check to see that the audio driver that came with your
sound card is installed correctly and, if necessary, reinstall it.
Also check your IRQ and DMA settings and insure that they don't conflict
with other hardware such as a mouse or modem. See the documentation that
came with your sound card for more information.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6) "Out of Memory" Problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of your applications use some of your computer's memory. Performance
will be degraded if your system doesn't have enough free memory. If you
receive an Out-Of-Memory error, try the following:

1. Close all unnecessary applications.

2. Some applications load files in memory but don't remove them after
being closed. If you've closed all unnecessary applications and are
still having memory problems, try closing out of Windows and restarting.

3. If you are running Windows in Enhanced mode (the default mode if you
are running Windows on a 386 or better machine), create a permanent swap
file on your hard disk. Refer to your Windows documentation for more
   information.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7) Miscellaneous Problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Occasionally, clicking on a directory folder will cause the cursor to turn
into an hourglass and the directory folder won't open. When this happens,
double-click on the directory folder with the hourglass cursor or select
another directory. This should clear-up the problem.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
8) Running on Windows NT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Windows NT is incompatible with the Microsoft Video for Windows
drivers which CyberManager 2.0 uses. You will need to use CyberManager
2.0 on a machine with a Windows 3.1x system.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
9) Installed File List
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CyberManager 2.0 installs the following files in their respective
directories:

CyberManager's Directory (however named):

         AAPLAY.DLL CTL3D.DLL MCIWNDX.VBX
         AAVGA.DLL CYBMGR.EXE MHRUN300.DLL
         APIGUIDE.DLL CYBMGR.HLP PICCLIP.VBX
         CIA_DIR.VBX FILE_ID.DIZ README.TXT (this file)
         CIA_DRV.VBX IM2BMP.DIL THREED.VBX
         CIA_FILE.VBX IMVB3.VBX VBPLAY.VBX
         CIA_SLD.VBX LABELDLL.DLL
