The Lost Archives is my effort to collect and archive a piece of history, namely, the 1980's and 1990's era of software. On this site, you'll find one of the largest collections of freeware, shareware, and public-domain software in the world.

This site was created using Django, PostgreSQL, running on Ubuntu 18.04 on Azure. The UI consists of a custom stylesheet on top of Bootstrap 4 and jQuery. Icons provided by the Original Windows .ico Collection. Most of the site content comes from Shareware CDs that can be found on the Internet Archive. Other content comes from my personal collection, archived since the mid-1990s. If you have any questions about the contents, feel free to reach out to us.
